Finish the Year Strong and Prep for 2023

Did you know that many closings happen in the last week of the year? That’s right. Even though we are nearing the year’s end, there’s still time to finish strong.

At Real Estate Investing Women (REIW), we’ve spent December encouraging you to stay focused on your goals and mindset. As you wrap up 2022 and head into 2023, you can put what you’ve learned to work.

We encourage you to finish this year with a positive outlook so that you enter 2023 prepared for success. Here are our tips for setting yourself up to grow and thrive.

Over the years in real estate, we’ve learned that it takes combining the right skills and mindset to build a strong and growing business. If you only focus on mindset and don’t take time to learn the industry with methods and strategies for real estate investing, you’ll struggle to move forward without lots of mistakes.

Yet, only focusing on skill without the right mindset will leave you frustrated and stuck. True success comes when you apply the skills you’ve learned with attention on a positive mindset. This is the secret to finding purpose and joy in your business.

A positive mindset means investing in your quality of life through daily practices that create intentional thought patterns. Give thanks for the good things in your life, from the little things like clean sheets to the big things like closing a real estate deal. Gratitude helps develop a positive mindset.

Positive affirmations also build helpful thought patterns. Saying daily affirmations out loud trains your mind to focus on the positive. Put sticky notes up to remind you to notice and believe in yourself. A positive mindset builds confidence which leads to a growth mindset.

In real estate investing, relationships matter. Your network should include a wide range of people. Yet, you want to ensure that your network includes people with more experience than you currently have. At any level, there will be people who’ve achieved more. You want to build relationships with these people so that you can learn from them.

At REIW, we’re passionate about using our experience to help other women investors learn and grow. We don’t have a scarcity mindset. We believe the market is big enough for all of us to thrive.

No matter how you finish the year, you can still move forward. Whether you met your 2022 goals or fell short, you don’t have to enter 2023 on a negative note. Use this time to develop updated plans, refresh your mind and make a fresh start.
